sunflowerforsuu.com was created in 2009 with an aim at creating awareness of Aung San Suu Kyi, the 2200 political prisoners and human rights issues in Burma by growing sunflowers and spreading their seeds.
Times are changing! Burma is showing signs of major reforms, with release of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, political prisoners and more relaxed laws on Freedom of speech. Burma has a long way to go, but even small change has to be seen as positive.
Like Burma, sunflowerforsuu.com is changing!
Sunflowers have long been associated as a symbol of peace, and we would like for people to use this site to post photo’s of what their sunflower for Suu is?
We encourage you to join in the Sunflower for Suu campaign to bring attention to some of the lesser known Country’s, ethnic minoritys or regions who are in need of eyes from the free world.
